Confidentiality Agreement

Connectrapy โ€” A Platform of BBCMGTai Inc. Last Updated: June 2026

1. Purpose

This Confidentiality Agreement explains how information shared through Connectrapy is protected, and the limits of that confidentiality as required by law.

2. General Confidentiality

Information you share with your Therapist during sessions is generally confidential and protected by law, including HIPAA and applicable state confidentiality laws governing the mental health profession. Your Therapist maintains your clinical records independently and in accordance with their professional and legal obligations.

3. Limits to Confidentiality

Confidentiality is not absolute. Your Therapist may be required or permitted to disclose information without your consent in the following situations:

  • Risk of harm to self โ€” if you express intent to harm yourself, your Therapist may take steps necessary to protect your safety, which may include contacting emergency services
  • Risk of harm to others โ€” if you express intent to harm a specific, identifiable person, your Therapist may have a legal duty to warn or protect that person
  • Abuse or neglect โ€” suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult must be reported to appropriate authorities as required by state law
  • Court order โ€” disclosure may be required in response to a valid court order or legal proceeding
  • Substance use treatment โ€” if applicable, disclosures related to substance use disorder treatment are additionally protected under 42 CFR Part 2, with narrower exceptions than general HIPAA disclosures

4. Connectrapy’s Role

Connectrapy, as the technology platform, does not have access to your clinical session content. Connectrapy maintains only the scheduling and payment information necessary to operate the Platform. This information is treated as confidential and is only shared as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Communication with Your Therapist’s Supervisor

If your Therapist is practicing under supervision (for example, as an Associate-licensed clinician), limited information about your sessions may be shared with their clinical supervisor for supervision and quality of care, consistent with standard clinical supervision practices and applicable licensing board requirements. Full session content is not shared with Connectrapy in this process.

6. Your Acknowledgment

By using Connectrapy and engaging in services with a Therapist through the Platform, you acknowledge that:

  • You understand the general confidentiality protections described above
  • You understand the legal limits to confidentiality described above
  • You consent to the limited supervisory disclosures described in Section 5, if applicable to your Therapist

7. Questions

If you have questions about confidentiality specific to your care, please discuss them directly with your Therapist. For questions about Connectrapy’s platform-level data practices, contact us at info@connectrapy.com.
